eBook Description: Instead of the spring rainstorm they can hear pounding on the side of house, twins Kara and Carl are surprised to see bright sunlight the beyond the study window. And they are not alone. A shaggy-haired barbarian is striding across the clearing in front of them, a dead deer draped over his pack pony. In an attempt to get a better look, Carl unintentionally falls into the other world and pulls Kara with him. The window to their world closes behind them. They're sixteen--and they are trapped in the wilds of King Arthur's Britain. Where's a knight in shining armor when you need one?

"Elves?" the twins echoed with open-mouthed smirks.
"Of course. Did you not flinch at the cold iron of my blade? Did you not step straight from the ash tree? Even one such as I can see the spot is protected by a fairy ring. Look at your manner of dress. Fey clothes to be sure." Kara glanced at the ground in front of her. Gram had always talked about fairy rings and magical places. Elves were supposed to come out and dance in them under the light of a full moon. Could Gram's tales be more than silly bed-time stories? A circle of mushrooms lay between them and the strange boy. As she looked again, Kara realized that the shorter grass around them was more trampled down on the inside of the circle. This all seems pretty vivid for a dream. "Yeah, right," her brother said. "So where are my Peter Pan wings?" "Shh!" Kara hissed. Shifting her attention back to the boy, she asked, "Have you ever seen an elf?" "No, but most any Christo knows of the magick of the old gods. While I may not place my trust or faith in you, I know most surely you exist. Besides, I'd rather take my chances with a misplaced elf than a demon." "You've got real live demons here?" Kara's voice squeaked.
