Lisa whirled around in time for Lucienda's walk through the office wall. All five feet nine inches of the rather heavy-set black woman disappeared between plaster and paint.
Oh, God. This isn't funny. Lisa darted through the doorway leading to her bosses' desk. She looked back and forth. I think I'm losing my mind. It must be the Vitamin A. The doctor said too much can be toxic. She started back toward the front office and yelped. Lucienda stood blocking the doorway. She smiled, all gums and teeth. A scene from "Mr. Ed" flashed through Lisa's mind. Lucienda poked Lisa's shoulder with her index finger. "Vitamin A has nothin' to do with it, Girl. And walkin' through walls ain't even my specialty." Lucienda twisted her index finger above Lisa's head and vanished. "Just like magic, Lisa," Lucienda's voice echoed throughout the office. "Only better. 'Cause it's gonna help you catch the man of your dreams."
