eBook Description: Is Wyoming far enough away from the east coast to forget a love affair gone bad? And will Devon Holbrook ever learn to trust and love again? Devon accepts a position on a small town newspaper and throws herself into her job not only to become a respectable reporter but to forget her unhappy situation. A devastatingly handsome rancher, Ed Calloway, brings her up short on an article she has written on the beef boycott. He doesn't like it one bit, though Devon is sure of her facts. Her editor sends her out to get the other side of the story, and Devon comes to love the western way of life when she does a series of articles on the ranching community, but she never expected to fall in love again and certainly not with the rancher. But will Ed return her love? And what about that other woman, the gorgeous rodeo queen Samantha? Does she have prior claims on Ed's heart?

Devon looked up from her desk and saw the tall man in a Stetson hat waiting by the newsroom door, today's edition rolled up in his hand. She nodded at him, wondering if he needed help. He tipped his hat at her and pointed toward the city editor's desk, then removed his hat, revealing a head of thick dark hair. He strode with purpose to his destination. She couldn't help but notice how his hair curled just above the top of his shirt collar. And she wasn't totally unaware of how handsome he was. She quickly chastised herself and turned to the second in a series of the beef boycott stories she was working on.
Looking over her notes, she bit the end of her pencil as her thoughts wandered. When was the last time she got involved in a close relationship? She'd vowed never to search for one again. She had thought she had found love once. Not only was it not forever, it turned out the man was married!
That was when she decided to come out west, as far away as she could from Connecticut and those unhappy memories of an affair gone sour, and devote her time to her career and vow to become the best damn reporter there was. It turned out to be the right move. She loved the challenges of reporting.
