Robin Hood strode boldly through the woods as the gay sunshine of a fresh summer morning played upon the dewy leaves of Sherwood Forest and a soft breeze tickled the long, lush blades of grass in the glens, glades, and meadows.
"All right, I think I've got it," said Little John, tramping heavily behind him. "Don't tramp," Robin snapped. "Creep, stalk, tread, sidle, slink, rove, ramble, roam, or perambulate, but never tramp. We're supposed to be outlaws, for God's sake. Do you want the Sheriff of Nottingham to hear you coming from a mile away?" Will Scarlet rolled his eyes. "Don't mind him," he whispered to Little John, who was looking quite hurt. "He's been this way ever since he found out they've started singing ballads about him." "What is it that you think you've got, John?" Robin called over his shoulder. He perched on a sturdy, moss-covered log, seized a thick vine, and swung agilely across a burbling brook. Little John and Will Scarlet watched as he postured on the other bank. "Top that, if you can," Robin dared them.
