She stared at the empty page. She gazed at the blank screen. She watched the blinking cursor...

"Arrrrggggh!"

Ethelfreda Feldsnitch picked up her computer monitor and flung it out the window into the humid night air. Or, rather, she tried to do so.

Unfortunately, Ethelfreda was an underpaid midlist writer who couldn't afford protein-rich foods and who never bothered to exercise, so she was sort of scrawny and weak. The monitor, a refurbished bargain acquired in a Dutch auction on eBay, was nearly as large as her 12-year-old hatchback car, and so she was unable to lift it.

So Ethelfreda settled for flinging the keyboard, instead of the monitor, out the window. The keyboard was lightweight (and liberally stained with coffee), and it sailed out the window like a cruise missile.

"Arrrrrggggh!" cried the passing stranger in the street who was hit by a keyboard falling mysteriously from the sky.
