eBook Description: Stripped of the male dominance, the casting couch is suddenly revealed as a toy which powerful women all over the world are able to use in order to satisfy their hungers for a male to service their aging, unattractive bodies. In this story the author offers a reverse exploration from what is revealed in his novel: The Casting Couchers. Here we see how a struggling young actor is faced with the necessity of granting a rather undesirable woman anything she might wish, in order to get a part in her film. He either plays her game or else. If he blows this chance even his agent will drop him. He either plays by the rules or walks out on the woman, the agent and a budding career. A behind the scenes look at the film industry and the price young actors are expected to pay in order to get ahead.

I'd heard a lot about Miss Lois-jean Lee Belle ever since I'd gotten to Hollywood. Behind her back everybody called her the "witch of Hollywood." Beyond that the only thing I new about her before we met, was that if she took a liking to a person she could open doors to success; she was powerful enough in Hollywood circles to take a "nobody" and turn them into a big name star. Being producer and director and hiring and firing expert for one of the major studios, she had what it took to get their career on the fast track. Of course the price tag could be pretty much the same as young women had paid on the casting couch throughout the history of Hollywood. In this case, of course, the cushion was turned upside down. Actually nothing new, really; an endless power game popular throughout the business world, even if hidden and outright illegal. The idea of catering to her demand for a quickie on the casting couch literally turned my stomach. Not only wasn't she my type, but, in fact, hardly anybody's type. And she used her power to get favors on demand. Maybe that was why she called The Witch of Hollywood!
