eBook Description: She was known to be the Blonde Bombshell. Her short career was electric on screen, starring with some of the top male leads of her time. The films she made have become classic, some quite good even in today's standards as prime examples of Hollywood at its best. Of course things have changed over the decades, but she still stands out as a major star. Her private life, though, was something else. And Mr. Nuetzel has offered a revealing look into her life, and especially that which involved marriage to Paul Bern, a very powerful power broker in the film industry. It is a sad, somewhat tragic story. And in the telling of these events the writer has given some details surrounding the life and times of Jean Harlow, Hollywood's original Blonde Bombshell!

If there is any story or illustration in real life that might unquestionably be an argument for pre-marital sex, the tragic story of Paul Bern's marriage to Jean Harlow is certainly it. Real or myth, it illustrates an argument against blindly entering into a marriage without having explored intimacy previous to the wedding night. We aren't suggesting anything here other than the fact that, according to some reports that have been documented on her experience with Paul Bern, they certainly offer serious arguments for pre-marital sex.
There are as many versions of her life and times as there are people who knew her. Her story, like so many others, is clouded and complicated by legend, myth and dreamland fantasies. Everybody offers a different version of her life. For some she seemed to be a wonderful symbol of the hot blonde; others noted her as nothing more than an icon of a cheap woman. Probably she was something of a satire between both types. There's good reason to believe she was fairly religious and who knows how that actually effected her living style. Some claimed she was as wild as her visual image implied. She had the bra-less look long before it was to become the norm some decades later. Jean Harlow was, in the 1930's, the sexiest Hollywood glamour queen. She was the original Blonde Bombshell. They said that many men just had to look at her, or talk about her, to experience an automatic erection. Her reputation, as a sex symbol, was worldwide. The belief that she was the hottest thing God had put on earth was the reason Paul Bern picked her as his wife. Or so it has been reported. Some of the Paul Bern story is questionable, even if it does illustrate a very basic reality. Any woman like Jean Harlow would certainly be an attractive object for sexual desire. That was the main PR surrounding her screen persona.
