Anne pushed the button for the elevator to her office. Once it arrived, she slumped against the wall and fiddled with her hair. Mark Nichols and Senator Bancroft were involved in something, but what? Anne got to her desk and plopped heavily into her chair. Next to her keyboard sat the disk Ian had given her in its lime green case. The killer was somewhere on that disk. Anne had always solved cases by the book, using her powers only to give her a bit of an edge. Now Anne was working two cases that she couldn't solve by the book and once she had solved them there was almost no way to prove it. All the physical evidence lead to open and shut cases. The thing that bugged Anne the most was she had no way to prove that Donnatella Genzano was innocent. If Anne couldn't do something Donnatella would spend a lot of time in jail. Anne stared at the disk for a moment before making a decision.
