I know that you and Mother have been concerned over what type of laran I'd develop, so I hasten to assure you that it won't be nearly as inconvenient as that of my brothers and sister. Even I remember how the hawks followed Cassilda around when her rapport with them developed. They made themselves terribly unpopular with Mother (to say nothing about how the servants felt about them) until Cassilda finally managed to break them of their quite natural impulse to perch on the edges of Mother's tapestry frame. And nobody is going to forget Donal's rapport with the wolves--especially how they all howled every time he got threshold sickness. At least Coryn's rapport with horses was comparatively quiet, and even useful, although you did have to add on to the stables that year. I have developed rapport with animals, of course, but the animals in question are small, silent, and won't follow me around the house.
