I AM SITTING in the bath.
It is the first Friday of September, a dull and dreary day. Water drips from the tap. It swells into circular ripples that become bigger waves. New waves replace older ones, a million hydrogen and oxygen molecules unified into a soluble compound that cleanses my skin.
I stare at widening ripples and muse: I hate my life.
The pitter patter of rain on the tin roof competes with a loud clap of thunder. Something is wrong with me. I should have a profound appreciation of life for having a great guy like Jonny, for being able to switch my computer on and write beautiful stories that never sell.
