CHAPTER ONE"Hey, honey, what's keeping you so long?" the rasping voice of the whore moaned in the background. Norton didn't respond at first. He was looking at himself in the mirror.
You have an ugly puss! He cursed inwardly. He didn't really believe it, but the way he was feeling right then, he didn't care.
"You gonna stay there all night?" the woman demanded.
He watched her nude reflection in the mirror. She had a fairly good body for a pick-up. Large brown breasts, which were rigidly tipped with erect nipples. Her stomach was large and a little fat, but that was normal for a Latin. Long, heavy thighs and legs. Not like Lilly Benton, but that was another subject he didn't want to think about right then.
She squirmed a little, letting her hand run along her chest. "Come on, what's you doing?"
He gripped the dresser to keep his balance. That last damn drink was getting to him. And he needed drinks badly--much too badly during the last couple of years.
Two years on the down-graded. That was a laugh. This was the mid-20th century, and not a time to be without funds. Actually, two years completely flat--bumming around Mexico and South America, but not actually seeing the countries, only the whoring sluts that each nation had to offer. They were all the same. Wiggling, squirming, biting little tramps that would let a man have them for the price of a bottle of booze.

What was he complaining for? He'd been getting enough women.
He reached for the half-filled quart of whiskey that was on the dresser in front of him. His eyes couldn't help noticing the anxious dark body of the woman behind him. She was still looking at him in a strange way, her eyes frowning and her mouth pouting.
