Lois looked seductively at the man who had killed her husband, holding down the bitter hate as she smiled invitingly.
The man's eyes smoldered over her trim, curving figure. For a moment he didn't make a move, only his eyes studied her. From the pinched expression on his chiseled features, it was obvious he was puzzled by the open invitation of her smile. He didn't know her and didn't even realize that Henry Laymont had a wife. That was one of her advantages; the other was the sensual shape of her body. It was the first time in her life that she was proud of the fact she'd been a stripper.
Lois let her eyes flash warmth as she wetted the redness of her lips to a silky shine.
This time he didn't wait. Picking up his drink he stepped down the row of bar stools to the one she was sitting on. His eyes dropped to the curve of her legs where the white skirt was suggestively high.
"Wonder if I could buy you a drink," he offered, sitting down next to her.
Lois nodded, without saying anything. Right then the hate was welled up tight inside her and didn't allow a vocal answer.
