Unholy Night, by Candice Gilmer, Marissa Van Dyke doesn't celebrate Halloween anymore. Saturday and a full moon hosts Halloween this year, turning the tables on Marissa's determination not to celebrate. Her mind screams no, even after meeting Neil, a sexy man who makes her whole body throb. Neil keeps his own Halloween secrets, and the scent of Marissa sends him reeling over the edge. This Unholy Night could cost them everything. Or it could save their souls. The Spirits of Squirrel Hollow, by Ivana Peters, combines a traditional teen slasher movie with the enticing world of erotica. A group of teenagers set out to have a fun-filled Halloween night but the spirits in the area have other designs. In Aphrodesia, by Sabrina Luna, A vial of perfumed oil has a magickal effect on a young, unsuspecting couple. In HS Kinn's Connacht the Immortal, the legend of Connacht the Immortal is a tale told to frighten 'Shifter children. They say that Connacht was a half-breed who rose up and slew the Shapeshifter pack who raised him. Most think it's just a story, but vampire Julian Whiting knows the truth. Some tales never die...Finally, in Katrina Strauss' Grave Desire, Kaitlyn Sinclair, former goth girl turned suburban mom, struggles with her teenaged daughter, a recent divorce, and a mid-30's crisis. She's in for an All Hallow's shock when her ex-boyfriend Antoine knocks on her door--dead since 1987, he's amazingly well-preserved. Lighthearted yet bittersweet, Grave Desire is a tale of a first love never forgotten--and burying the past before moving on.

Grave Desire By Katrina StraussFlesh shifted, bones creaked, and leather pants stretched as the young man flexed his slender six-foot-two frame. With tapered fingers, he elegantly brushed the coffin dust from the lapels of his midnight velvet jacket. Thoughtfully, he flicked his tongue across his canines. "Damn," he muttered in disappointment. "I was hoping to come back as a vampire." Through twisted strands of blue-black bangs, he peered at the gaping hole, surrounded by a scattering of animal bones, quartz crystals, and a circle of salt. His gaze shifted to the granite headstone which topped the grave, bedecked with burning black candles dripping wax down his epitaph. Anthony James Smith 1968-1987 Tony, you live on in our thoughts."Shit. They used my real name." To Antoine's pleasant surprise, however, his mother had buried him in his favorite outfit, right down to the knee-high buckle boots. Gratefully, he noted the mortician hadn't shaved or combed down his meticulously teased chin-length hair. Tilting his face heavenward, he noted the moon, full and high. Another masculine voice drifted from across the grave. "Holy crap. It's like The Crow or something." Antoine caught sight of the boy's backside as he took off running. The boy's companion, a pretty, petite redhead, stared wide-eyed and swayed on unsteady feet. Something familiar about her face, and she was dressed in the identifiable accoutrements of the classic goth girl, right down to her black leather biker jacket, Joy Division t-shirt, and kohl-lined Cleopatra eyes. But her bondage pants were cut wrong. About three sizes too large, they hung loosely from her hips, and the wide legs flared into ... bellbottoms? "Oh no, please don't faint," he said. With long, lean limbs, he vaulted over the grave and caught her before she hit the ground. He cradled her to his chest and patted her pale cheek, tried to reanimate her as she had just done him. She couldn't have been more than fifteen. Much too late for her to be out at this hour, especially now that she'd been ditched by her friend. Then again, he'd started sneaking from his bedroom and exploring the streets well past curfew when he was only eleven. Come to think of it, he'd started smoking that year too. And he swore this child reminded him of someone...
