"You can deny the attraction between us all you want, but your eyes are begging."

Annie tightened her lips as though that would keep him out.

"Is this what you don't want, sweetheart?" His mouth feathered lightly over hers. He relished the disappointment clearly written on her face. "Or this?" he said against her mouth as he slid his lips back and forth, teasing softly, slowly.

Her lids lowered gradually, and her lips softened. Drawing out the moment, Jared only allowed his breath to enter her mouth. Looping her arm around his neck, Annie rose up and melted against him. Thank God! He didn't know how long he could have restrained himself.

He traced the outline of her lips with his tongue, nibbled on her lower lip. Annie opened her mouth wider, her sigh echoing between them.

Elated, Jared sealed their lips. Annie's response was all he knew it would be. What he hadn't expected was his own body's fierce reaction. He couldn't ever remember trembling when he held a woman in his arms. He skimmed his hands over her neck and shoulders, being careful of the right one. With his arms around her back, he pulled her up to his chest, pressing and molding her luscious breasts against him. He felt the peaked nipples through their clothes.

He thrust his tongue into her honeyed sweetness. One hand held her in place while the other ventured lower, squeezing a firm buttock. She wiggled against him, stroking his tongue with her own, dueling, sparring ... mating.
