eBook Description: Keri Hart is a young rich widow with a lot of time and misery on her hands. Moving from the windy city and a family she loves dearly she buys herself with the ruins of an old castle in upstate New York. Myths, gods and the supernatural is something she never believed in, until they appear in her own back yard. Adonis, 'God of Desire', or so he says, stepped through the gates of his world and landed in the middle of hers. He wants to show her desire, what he finds is something he never believed in, love. But, can he reach her? Can he break through that wall of despair and show her that true love can find its way back if you just open your heart and believe? The Fates say no, destiny says yes.

"Adonis," she started. "I like the way my name sounds on your lips," he said, his eyes on her mouth and one hand moving to slide slowly, seductively down the side of her face. She drew in a ragged breath and his eyes moved up to hers. "I know what you're feeling." "I don't think you do." "You're afraid. I am not asking for your heart or soul, Keri, just your desire." "You make it sound so simple. I don't know what it's like for gods, but for humans, at least for me, those feelings go hand in hand." As she spoke he stepped closer, his breath warm on her face. "Do you know what it feels like to be in love, Adonis?" Her words hit a core in him and he stepped back. "It is a foolish feeling. One that causes much trouble." This time she stepped closer to him and lightly placed her hand to his heart. "You have never been in love," she stated. "It's a wonderful feeling. It's warm, gentle. Like someone caressing your heart. One soul melting into the next." He wrapped his arms around her and held her tight. "Yet desire steals your breath. Making you yearn for one more touch, one more caress." "So does love." "Is that what you want from me, Keri?"
