A shudder ran thru Skye as she again thought of the men who got away or chose someone else. Those thoughts firmed her resolve to find a love of her own. Unexpectedly, a pleasant licorice scent wafted from the brew and though Skye was skeptical, she had to admit it smelled better than it looked. Muttering, "Lets hope it tastes as pleasant as it smells or I am going to throw up chunks," Skye leaned back and gulped the liquid. As she finished the last drop, she put down the cup and recited the words her aunt told her to say: "I wish for my true love. I wish for my true love. I wish for my true love." Her aunt looked on with a smile on her face, hope shining in her eyes, wiping the countertop with a sponge.

Skye turned to the window and prayed quietly. "Please don't let this drink make me sick." Suddenly, she caught a glimpse of a face looking at her. It was enough to cause her to gasp step back. Moss green eyes from the vision called to her, longing for something from her. Skye wondered if she had finally lost her freaking mind. She looked away thinking it was a figment of her imagination but the face still stared at her; those chiseled cheeks, full, round lips and cheekbones to make a model envious.

Soon the face faded, though it felt like time stopped. Her aunt had said nothing. Had only Skye seen what was there? "It was nothing. Just a figment of your imagination or a trick with the light; he isn't real at all."

But, her heart and mind told her otherwise? Is he the one I've been searching for?
