Great Good OK Poor

The wind howled outside as the storm continued to intensify. Suddenly, there was a loud crash from the bedroom. Either the window had blown in, or something large had crashed through it. "Wow. Guess we made it in here just in time."

Aiden felt David jump. "Fuck! Was that the window? Shit, what are we going to do? We're going to die in here!"

"No, we're not," Aiden said firmly. He reached out and felt for David, grabbed David's arms and held firm. "Calm down. We're going to be fine."

Aiden tried to will David to calm down. After a few minutes, when David's breathing sounded normal again and Aiden was sure he wasn't going to hyperventilate, he let go of David's arms and sat back.

It amazed him how, even with a hurricane trying to blow the motel out from under them, he didn't really want to let go. David had sexy arms, and Aiden liked the feel of the smooth skin and sinewy muscles under his fingers. Then again, Aiden figured he shouldn't be surprised. He'd always gone for the lean, tanned, surfer-type, and being trapped in a small space with one so obviously in need of distraction was tempting.

The darkness, instead of dampening any sexual attraction Aiden may have felt for David, only increased it. He found that in lieu of eyesight, he could smell David; the scent of the sea that clung to David combined with that of warm skin and man to fill his nose. His mind recalled the image of David on the seashore, tanned and lean and ready to ride the surf.

He blinked and chided himself. Vincent was the one who thought with his dick, not Aiden. In addition to Vincent's temper, it was one of the main reasons Aiden had left the relationship. Vincent thought only of himself and instant gratification. Aiden had more sense. More self-control.

Right? Of course, right.

He just wished somebody would explain it to his dick, because the fucking thing was getting as hard as a rock, making sitting twisted up like a pretzel in the tub increasingly uncomfortable. He shifted his weight, but it was of little use. EN

He felt his cheeks heat up as embarrassment warred with lust, and was glad David couldn't see him. What kind of person was he, to be turned on during a crisis? ENDEXCERPT
