I was working late in the lab when I got a call from my dead father. He had been trying to reach me ever since he died, but since he'd never bothered with me when he was alive, I wasn't going to bother with him now. Or at least that had been my original plan. I ignored the beeping of the phone and the blinking of the screen and continued to program, when the computer took the call on its own and I found myself face to face with my father. Not my Dad. My father. There is a distinction.
